Consultation: Guidance on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Development and Review of Research Proposals

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) are seeking feedback from the research community on draft guidance related to the use of artificial intelligence in the development and review of research proposals.

The draft guidance was developed by the agencies based on the advice and recommendations of an ad hoc panel of external experts.

The guidance is intended to clarify how existing agency policies apply to the use of artificial intelligence.
